Lois Ethel Garrett was born to Ethel Giddings and Lewis B. Echols on March 17, 1933, in Limestone County, Texas. The family moved to Waco, Texas, where she attended Waco Independent School District. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend R. L. Bailey, at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. She later united with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas and was under the leadership of Pastor Chris Wesley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleauther Garrett; her parents, Ethel Giddings and Lewis Echols; two brothers, Ira Hobbs and Wendell Echols; two sisters, Zelma Wade and Burnetta Echols. Lois leaves to cherish her memories; three (3) sons, Paul Garrett, Royce Garrett and Michael (Roxane) Garrett; three (3) daughters, Paulette Fields, Janice Phillips and Cleah Evans; twelve (12) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great - grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Lois met and married Cleauther Garrett. The couple had six (6) children. She loved her husband and children.
