was born on July 20, 1941 in Dallas, TX to the parents of Gussie Nell Bean and Julia Drennen who have preceded her in death along with two sisters; Elnora Armstrong Bowen and Ferrilyn Smith - Raynor. She graduated from Booker T. Washington which was located in Dallas, TX. She gave birth to her first born, Andrew Childress. Madalyn was employed at Dillards for over forty years. There, she worked in the Lady ’ s Shoe Department. She was a strength to her co - workers when she was going through breast cancer. She made sure that the cancer was not going to defy her life. She got up each and every day and continued with her daily life. Madalyne Childress leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, two grandchildren, Britany Childress and Tiffany Demming, five great - grandchildren, a special daughter, Jannie Walker, grandson, Kenyatta Coger, granddaughter, Chantelle Young, one niece, Toni Childress and a host of other relatives friends.
