“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 Mar ’ Kai was born in Dallas, Texas on May 15, 2017 to parents Kendrick and Marketha Casteel. Mar ’ Kai accepted Christ even in his young age. He could often be seen pointing towards Heaven while singing his favorite song “ He ’ s got the whole world in His hands. Mar ’ Kai loved going to church and he sang in the Jettie Lucas Youth Choir and could not wait to play the drums after benediction; taking an early interest in the drums. Mar ’ Kai attended Amber Terrace and Woodridge Elementary Schools in DeSoto, Texas where he exceled in early learning and reading at the age of four. He was a smart scholar, who loved school. Although small in stature, he had a big personality. From his self proclaimed “ drip ” to the dance in his hips, he didn ’ t ever mind telling you “… I look GOOD ”. He was very active and inquisitive, often drumming up the most interesting conversations; and, if you listened long enough, you ’ d get pure honesty and for sure his witty opinion. Mar ’ Kai loved Hulk Smash, Oreos (ONLY the creme) and the movie Lion King. He also enjoyed learning karate, playing and watching basketball (favorite player LeBron James) and playing football, celebrating each touchdown with a quick ‘ Shoot ’ dance.
