Mary Carraway
Mary Ruth was born in Slaton, TX to the late Woodrow Sr. and Ruth Faye Franklin. She was the eldest of five siblings. Mary attended school in Dallas Independent School District. She met and married Isiah Carraway on November 6, 1980. They were married for 42 years until she was called home to be with the Lord. Mary was employed with Cintas, U.S Postal Service, Mary Kay until her health started to decline. She fellowshipped with Willow Grove Baptist Church with the Senior Saints under the leadership of Pastor Mark E. Walker Sr., at the time of her death she was a longtime faithful member of Rusher Chapel Missionary Church under the leadership of Rev. Harry Massey Sr., she served as Mission President, and on the board of Pastor's Aid. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, JoAnn Franklin, grandmother, Nannie Lockett and nephew, Jabarie Franklin. Those she leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Isiah Carraway; three brothers, Woodrow Franklin Jr. (Michelle) of Marshall, TX, Ray Franklin and Alfred Wiley of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Dora Griffin and Faye White (Carl) of Dallas, TX; five daughters, Sherrie Johunkin, Cynthia Dorsey, Sherwanda Grant (Weldon), Teresa Franklin, Andretreneshwa Carraway Haves (Silvester) all of Dallas, TX; two sons, Aubrey Morris Jr. and Sirlorarine Morris Carraway; 24 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren; a special niece, Shonqua Franklin; and a host of special sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew, cousins, relatives and friends.
