The Life Celebration of

Life Reflections Michael Ray Williams was born on December 8, 1947 in Tyler, Texas to the parents of Mary and David Johns (both deceased). They later moved to Dallas, Texas along with his siblings, Albert and Diane. In the 1960’ s, Michael graduated from Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas. He met and married Barbara Ann Williams and to this union their only child, Darren Williams, was born. Darren gave them three grandchildren, Darren Alexis Williams, Dominick Isiah Williams and Demetri Alexander Williams along with one great grandchild, Demetri Williams Jr. Michael Williams went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 — 1970. He fought bravely and was injured in battle and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for bravery in battle. Michael Williams is survived by his ex - wife and love of his life, Barbara Ann Williams; grandchildren, Darren, Dominick and Demetri; nephews, Attorney Calvin D. Johnson (Natalia) and Terry Merida; nieces, Cherry and Demika Merida who cared for him in his final years (Terry and Cherry moved in and saw to his daily needs); one great niece, Tatiana Johnson. Special thanks to his lifelong godsister, Lorie Ann Dean and most recent godsister, Barbara Ward who assisted in planning his services.
