Perhaps you sent a lovely card of sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer of came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever, you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so very much. Scripture Reading ………………….…... Minister Stanley Alexander Old Testament New Testament

Growing up in the Deep South during a time of significant social change, Millard faced numerous challenges and uncertainty, but always accepted the challenge with grace and determination. His upbringing in Monroe instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and a deep sense of duty. These values guided him throughout his life and career. Upon graduating from Carrol High School in 1963, Millard further challenged himself by enlisting in the United States Air Force during the height of the Vietnam War. Serving from June 1, 1963, to May 31, 1967, Millard followed in the proud footsteps of his father. As an Airman, Millard broke barriers and earned the respect of his peers through his unwavering commitment to excellence. After his honorable discharge, Millard relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy. His personal life was as rich and fulfilling as his military and professional life. While in Baltimore, Millard met Sheila Lucile White, who was attending medical school. In 1986, Millard and Sheila married and together, they raised four remarkable children in Dallas: Maxwell Jackson, Khalil Jackson, Jamal Jackson, and Yasmin Jackson. Each child has thrived in their chosen career paths, a testament to Millard and Sheila ’ s unbending commitment to hard work and excellence. Millard also instilled in them the values of compassion, integrity, and intellectual curiosity, providing opportunities he hadn't had. Millard's legacy of compassion and strength
