Ms. Odessa Walker was born October 24, 1932 to Willie Joe Clakely and Lanie Clakley. Ms. Odessa was the oldest of six siblings. She retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. Ms. Odessa was a woman of devotion, strength, courage, and integrity. She loved her family and embraced her faith in God’s word. Ms. Odessa was a proud member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member of the Administrative Aide. She loved to garden, laugh, and dance, and in her own words she often stated “I might be old and antique but I still got it“. We have been honored to experience her for 91 years. We know she will not be forgotten and today is a great celebration of her life. She will meet her mother Lanie Warren Pruitt, her siblings, Joe Clakley, Vernon Clakley, and Geraldine Clakley Barron and one son Devoe Walker Jr. in a joyful reunion. She leaves to cherish her memories two children Debra A. Walker and Eric D. Walker. Two grandchildren LaItalain Walker and Devon Coleman. Two sisters Dorothy Moody (Floyd), Shirley Jernigan (Abron) and a host of nieces, nephews.
