Ora Lee Barnes Program

To Our Grand Mother One of the greatest loves in a young child's life is that of a grandparent. AffecƟonately known as Granny and Grandma to her grandchildren, she taught us cooking, sewing, and gardening on her country land in Magnolia, MS. Granny was a matriarch like no other and biƟng her tongue was not her style. She spoke the truth in love and her words of wisdom oozed with the experiences of life, love, and fight, yielding valuable lessons that no book could teach. Her life packed a punch that will rest in our memories forever. GOD has you in HIS keeping, we have you in our hearts. For every sacrifice, we are forever grateful and thankful that you are our Granny . Lov You Gandchildre, Gea Gandchildre, & Geat - grea Gan Children

Granny, You were the only one I answered to that called me Mandy. You listened to me cry as a teenager and you gave me unfiltered advice as an adult. You were a prayer warrior for Andrus when he was born at 30 weeks, and you were there to hold him soon aŌer he came home. Spending the night at your house oŌen meant calling dibs on who got to sleep with you. I'll always remember waking up next to you, hearing you speak soŌly with one arm stretched in the air. I asked you what you were doing. Your response was, "I'm praying baby." You leŌ me with memories that make laugh, some that make me cry, and some that make me cry from laughing. If you knew granny, you knew she didn't have a filter and said whatever was on her mind. We went from you making me tea cakes to me making you mixed drinks. I'll always love you LiƩle Ora. Take your rest .

Grandma, I've always adored how much you love your family, and to be honest that will forever sƟck with me and inspire me to have that kind of love. I miss you every day grandma, and there's not a day that I do not think about you. I wish that I saw you one last Ɵme, and I wish I got to say a proper goodbye. I will make sure to one day tell stories about you to my kids and my grandkids, And I will tell them how much I wish they would've met you. But I know you're looking down on us and that you're finally at peace. Heaven gained an angel, and I will see you again soon. Grandma and tell my mama I'm holding it down on this place called earth and I miss her too every day.
