Samuel S. Williams, the beloved son of James and Mattie B. Williams also known as “ Sammy ” was born in Navasota, Texas on April 10, 1953. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1971. He married Pearl L. McGee and to this union three children were born Tarsha, Samuel J., and Regina. Sammy lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of chatting, supporting and spending time with family and friends, cooking, playing dominos, listening to music, dancing, barbequing, hunting, and fishing. His warm personality and infectious sense of humor made him the life of the party. He brought joy to everyone he encountered; he will be missed. His warm smile and kind heart will forever be remembered. Samuel touched the hearts of all with his warm personality and genuine humor, with a lighthearted joke or a heartfelt conversation. Samuel ’ s career in construction brought about some accomplishments in his life. His hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication contributed to numerous projects that shaped the community. Samuel was a part of the construction team that built and structured the Bank of America Tower, Fountain Plaza, and the Dallas Museum of Arts in Downtown Dallas. He later had a career change and became a truck driver with United Van Lines until he retired. As we bid farewell to Samuel, let us cherish the memories and remember the joy and laughter that he brought to our lives. His legacy will forever live through the lives of those he cherishes so dearly. Samuel is survived by his beloved wife Pearl Williams and four children, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were the light of his life: Tarsha, Samuel J., Regina, and Sammetra. His brothers: James Ross Williams, Frank Williams, and Herman Mackie Williams of Navasota, Texas, six grandchildren Tar Sha, Cain, Neimon, Javareya, Kareya, and DeZire, seven great grandchildren Sanah, Lauren, Kali, Nate, Cassidy, Junior Man, and La ’ Nae. Also, he has a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents .
