Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm (Viewing, 11:00 am) Word of Truth Family Church 8201 Webb Ferrell Rd. Arlington, TX 76002

Shalaundra Antanette Clarice Manning, professionally known as Shailaun, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Euless, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. A radiant light, creative force, and compassionate soul, Shailaun lived a life that touched countless hearts through her art, her work, and her presence. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas and raised in Arlington, Texas, Shalaundra was a multitalented artist and entrepreneur who effortlessly blended beauty, brilliance, and purpose. A proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, laying the foundation for a career that seamlessly combined business, creativity, and community impact. Her artistic journey began over 20 years ago at Barbizon Modeling and Acting School, where she discovered her passion for performance and creative expression. Soon after, she continued to pursue modeling with the Kim Dawson Agency, launching a career that spanned two decades. She went on to grace the covers of international magazines such as AfroElle and represent global brands, earning recognition not only for her beauty and professionalism but also for the joy and authenticity she brought to every project. As an actress, she appeared in commercials, films, and music videos, including Michael Bublé’s A Beautiful Day (2013) and Empire of the Sun’s Alive (2013). As a singer songwriter and producer, she developed a distinct style she called Eclectic Soul, blending Gospel, R&B, and cross-genre influences. Her debut album Spread Love (2022) charted internationally on iTunes in the Netherlands, with singles like “Peace” and “Spread Love” ranking in the Top 5. She later released Glowing in 2023 and The Locus Metamorphosis in 2024, continuing to inspire with her smooth, soulful sound. Beyond her artistry, Shalaundra was a devoted entrepreneur and community builder. She founded World Parade Marketing and co-founded 7ART Mobile Paint Parties businesses dedicated to bringing people together through creativity and joy. Through The Spread Love Project, she championed mental health awareness, organized uplifting community events, and mentored young people with sincerity and warmth. Those who knew her will remember her vibrant smile, her boundless creativity, and her deep empathy. She had a unique ability to uplift others, to bring out the best in those around her, and to lead with kindness and intention. She is survived by her loving husband, Sven Nickerson; her mother, Evangelist June Manning; her fathers, Donald Manning and Ricky Cottrell. She also leaves behind her siblings: Shawanna Antoine (Johnathan, Sr.), Shakyndra Manning, DeAndre Manning, and Andrew Manning. Cherished nieces and nephews include Kiarra Sibley, Treston Antoine, Johnathan Antoine, Jr., Javeaughn Baston, Kaylon Cumby, Kaviaughn Baston, Harmony Jefferson, and Maliek Manning. Her bonus family includes her father-in law, Sim Nickerson, Jr. (Stacy Chadwick-Nickerson) and mother-in law, Vivian Webb-Smith, sister in-laws, NaTasha Lawrence and Toi Brown, brother-in law, Leon Paul III, and seven nieces. She is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will continue to celebrate and honor her remarkable spirit. Shalaundra’s legacy of love, artistry, and service will live on in the countless lives she touched.

To My Daughter “I’ll Never Forget, 37 Years ago [...] God assured you would make A way.

Therefore God Gifted you to Me, Now All The World is Able to See:

You are Beautiful and Wonderfully Made, Something even A Blind man CAN’T IGNORE. As one Feels as you Continue to “SPREAD LOVE” TODAY, even the MORE. Mama (Mom) Celebrate With you my Love, Not only Today, yet Yesterday, and Tomorrow as well. Celebrating you is Fun and So Easy for Me. I’m Sure you can Tell.” Psalm 139:13-14 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my MOTHER’S WOMB. I praise you because I am FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

“Shailaun is a giver. She would literally do anything for anyone and everyone. She’s a phenomenal woman. I can count countless times when she worked a modeling job in pain, but no one would ever know because she never complained or showed it. She carried that same strength at family functions and outings, always putting others first. She showed incredible determination to live fully despite her cancer diagnosis. Shailaun is intelligent, business savvy, beautiful inside and out, and she lived life on her own terms. Even when she was scared, she still did the things she wanted to do. During this journey and throughout our 8 years together she taught me so much. Our love was anything but typical. We were deeply connected, artistic, and creative, which gave us opportunities to express ourselves and collaborate through music, art, community service, family events, and more. It often felt like 40 years of love packed into 8 [...] I love her, and I will miss her dearly. But her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the love she spread.”

- Love you babe
