Shalonda

Shalonda Shalane

Christine Louise Jackson was born September 24, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Archie Redmond and Virginia Beal. Her parents and her brother Billy Jean Redmond have preceded her in death. She grew up in Dallas and received her education in the Dallas Independent School District attending Harlee Elementary School, Lincoln and Madison High School. She graduated in 1957. Chris, as she is affectionally known to us, worked at Ellen’s Dress Shop that was located in the Deer Path Shopping Center. She loved to dress and help others to complete their outfits as well. She worked at Zoecon Industries and served as lead person for over 10 years. She then ventured out and opened her own daycare in her home. It was warmly known as “Chris’ Day Care”. She nurtured and gave love to many children during those years. No child left her house hungry. If the parents were running low on food or pampers, she would tell them don’t worry about it, I have something for them to eat and I have extra pampers. Every year she would have a Christmas party for the babies and their parents. She would say it was for the parents to get to know each other. It was really for her to spoil the babies because every child left with a gift. Whenever the parents would pick the children up in the evening, they were always clean, hair combed and brushed, greased down, and shining like new money. She met and married Robert Jackson in 1968, he preceded her in death in 1988.

F ROM Y OUR M OTHER AND F ATHER "O UR D ARLING D AUGHTER " Our darling Shalonda You slipped away the other day, But before you did, we stopped to pray. We asked the Lord to comfort you and see you safely through. We asked for the strength of our family so dear. We asked the Lord to take our hands, and fit them lovingly in His plan. To wipe away our tears and give us strength for today We will remember how you met every challenge with the courage of a saint.

L ETTER TO M Y S ISTER IN H EAVEN

They say there is a rea son, they say time will heal; Neither time or rea son will change the way I feel. Gone are we used to share. But in my heart you are always there. The gates of memories will never close; I miss you more than anybody knows...Love and miss you everyday.. Till we meet again Always and Forever Saquinthia

T O M Y S ISTER Little I knew that morning that God was going to call your name, In life I loved you dearly, in death I’ll do the same. It broke my heart to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of me went with you the day God called you home. You left peaceful memories,

So we give you back to God, because He gave you to us. Love Always, Momma & Daddy

your love is still my guide, and though I cannot see you, you are always on my side. My heart is broken into pieces and nothing will ever be the same. Until we meet again… I will love you always and the world will remember your name. Love Your Sister, Saqua B ROTHER ’ S P OEM A TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED SISTER

God saw you were weary. So He did what was best. He came and stood beside you and whispered come and rest. You bade no one a last farewell, not even a good-bye You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. A precious one from us is gone. A voice we love is stilled. She is safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on his gently

breast There by his love over shadowed, sweet her soul shall rest. Justin

Thank you for giving me life Thank you for giving me the Best of what you had Thank you for hugs & kisses Thank you for that needed shoulder to cry on.

Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for the sleepless nights talks on the phone Thank you for being support system. Thank you for holding my hand while sick. Thank you for teaching me respect

And how to love others. Thanks most of all for You being my mother. I will Miss you Love, Marvin, Allen and Paris

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, We thank you, oh so very much. You have freshened our desert with flowers and rain. You have come in the sadness of winter and gloom, and sung of the gladness of summer and bloom, and so in our grief, we fervently cry.
