On Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, The sweet spirit of our beloved Shelbert Clark, came to a close. His pure kindness and love for people spread over his life, and his character made him so charming that he drew friends from far and near. He was loved by many that came in direct contact with him. Born the 1 st child of 5 children to Frank Clark and Elizabeth Lewis, known to some by the nickname Junior, he was born on July 26, 1962 in Dallas, TX. Shelbert was educated in the Dallas Independent School District. Having strong work ethics, Shelbert immediately entered the workforce. He was employed in various support positions for several companies in the Dallas area. You could always depend on him to be a helper whenever he was needed. Junior was a friend to all and a stranger to none. The nieces and nephews loved their “ Uncle Jun Jun ” and was always glad to see him. There was no request too small or too large for him to talk about it with them. The family witnessed the blessing of how his loving mother, his siblings and other family members together showed reverence to Junior by staying at his bedside while in the hospital and finally at home during his illness. He leaves to cherish his memories, parents: Herman and Elizabeth Lewis; 6 brothers; Frank Clark, Averill (Felicia) Lewis, Herman D. Lewis, John Clark, Stanley Forge, Marvin K Braggs, Jr.; 4 sisters; Trecia Lewis, LaChun Giddings, Myra L Braggs and Leslie R. Porter; 1 brother - in - law; Charles Bowens; a special cousin; Meloney Price; a special friend; Annette Bryant, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends from North and South Dallas communities that knew him by “ Skit Skat ”. 1 sister, Lanetta (Skeeter)Clark - Bowens preceded him in death. Shelbert ’ s biological dad, Mr. Marvin K Braggs, Sr. also preceded him in death May 14, 2022.
