Vickie Bailey_smbkFINAL
Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song, if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch. Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so much. we just want to say. Thank You.

Mama, in your final days you would tell me and others to listen to "In God's Timing" by T. D Jake's unknowing of what God was preparing us for. It was in your final night that I spent with you, that I listened to the message not knowing the next morning would be in God's timing that HE would call you home. Mama you served faithfully and as a child to adult I have NEVER seen you quit! even until the end. So glad God was able to consider you to be a modernized testament for us ALL! You have truly earned your reward, and it is well with my soul.

---Effective, Enduring, Expressive Vickie, I shared this with you I was so thankful for you encouraging daddy to have a relationship with me, Thomas Levon, Stephen and Brandon. I truly believed that you and only you were the reason that we had an opportunity to have a relationship with our daddy. Vickie you were the first example of a saved woman, even though I didn ’ t know what holiness was. I used to see you read the bible and heard you talk to God for yourself. Vickie, I enjoyed when myself, and Stephen would come over on Fridays you taught me how to
make homemade hot water cornbread. Vickie, you never treated us any different than Eric, Dana and John th children that you birthed. I can remember after church on Sunday if daddy didn ’ t take us to Pacho ’ s on Bucker in Pleasant Grove we went to Big Mama ’ s house and she greeted us with welcoming arms as well as other family members would ask and whisper, “ who are those kids ”? You would say “ these are Bailey ’ s kids ”, and that was the end of that. Thank you for loving your bonus children as your own. I will always love you.
