Willie Edward Fobbs was born on August 18, 1952 to Hazel Lee Fobbs and Jimmie Lee Cartwright in Bessmay, Texas.
He received his formal education from Bessmay School District and continued his education in Baton Rouge, La.
Willie accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and later in life joined Duncanville First Baptist Church with his wife. He joined the Navel Academy March 1970 and worked as a radioman, and later honorably discharged March 1981. Willie met Katherine Fangue during his time in the Navy, they later married on January 30, 1988. Following his career in the Navy he worked in IT for IBM and Baylor Dallas, where he made lasting friendships. Willie was a dedicated father and a protective grandfather. He adored his children and had a unique bond with them all. He spent quality time making lasting memories. He loved life and loved it to it's fullest. Willie leaves to cherish his memories: wife; Katherine M. Fobbs, Duncanville, TX , one son; Kevin Fobbs, Dallas, TX, three daughters; Stephanie Cartwright, Mesquite, TX, Whitley Fobbs, Dallas, TX, Wraychel Bell (Juan Jr.), Little Elm, TX eight grandchildren; Sir, Cameron, Alisha, Major, Olivia, Harper, Jason and Colbie Rae, nine brothers; Eugene, Jimmie Jr, Dwight (Ella), Paul, William, Eddy Sr. (Elizabeth), Dwight (Jada), Calvin, Anthony and six sisters; Juanita, Betty, Renee, Deborah(Donnie), Lisa, Wanda (Raymond) Preceded him in death his mother: Hazel Fobbs, father: Jimmie Cartwright Sr. sisters; Jackie, Caroline (Richard), Andrea (Jeff), Sharon, brothers; Cedric, Amert Lee
