Wilmer Houston

Wilmer Houston was born on May 6, 1939 in Cuney, TX, to the parentage of Jessie Lee Spencer and Wade Houston. Wilmer joined the Army in his early life. He loved fishing, traveling, vacationing, and spending time with family. Wilmer married Bertha in 1959 who preceded him in death in 2001. They bore five children; Gloria Young, Carnett Houston, Wilmer Houston, Jr., Wanda Houston, all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories: a living son, Tony Houston. He also fathered Evette Wooten, Gladys Houston and another son. He also leaves behind, grandchildren, great — grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends. The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever. Pal 23
